Yero Winborne

Book A DEL Speaker

Born in Tallahassee, Florida, and raised in Southwest Atlanta, Georgia, Yero Winborne, also
known as You're Welcome, is a passionate advocate for diversity and sustainability. Grounded
in Spiritual Southern music, Yero's journey into the world of sound began in childhood,
drumming tirelessly on a djembe that still echoes with the beats of self-expression.
Embracing a love for gadgets and a keen interest in recording, Yero, alongside an equally
music-driven older brother, has produced a myriad of tapes, projects, albums, and experiences.
Music, seen as a manifestation of the spirit, serves as a medium through which Yero aims to
heal and inspire others on their healing journeys.
Yero's purpose extends beyond the realm of music. It's a mission to spread freedom and
awareness, particularly among indigenous communities worldwide. Rooted in the belief that life
is meant to be lived and enjoyed, Yero is committed to addressing the disparities that deny
many this fundamental right. Central to this commitment is the protection of the sovereign rights
of every being.
As the founder of World We Made, Yero Winborne is at the forefront of environmental and social
activism. Trusting in the power of expression, community, and collaboration, You're Welcome
seeks to create opportunities for positive change, echoing the spirit of resilience forged in the
challenges faced growing up in Southwest Atlanta.
In this journey, Yero Winborne not only drums to the rhythm of Retro Southern beats but also
beats the drum for diversity, sustainability, and social reform, leaving an indelible mark on the
world through the harmonious fusion of music, activism, and the unwavering belief in the
inherent rights of all living beings.
Yero has worked in the advocacy space for over a decade helping to connect diverse youth and
communities to environmental stewardship with Greening Youth, The North Face, and The
Imam Jamil Action Network.
